The Tanz Company Gervasi is excited to announce that we will be offering two residencies for single artists or groups in Spring 2023 as part of our RAUM 33 /SPAZIO-DI-RICERCA program. These residencies are completely free of charge and will culminate in two final presentations of approximately 20 minutes each.
At The Tanz Company Gervasi, we strongly believe in the value of artistic exchange and are dedicated to supporting the vibrant Austrian free dance scene. We are committed to providing opportunities for young and promising artists to showcase their work, and to foster meaningful connections between artists and audiences.
If you are an artist interested in applying for one of these residencies, we encourage you to do so. As part of the SPAZIO-DI-RICERCA residency program, you will receive artist and dramaturgical support, as well as the opportunity to collaborate with a composer. We are excited to see the creative and unique work that you will bring to the program.
WHAT YOU CAN HAVE:
- Free access to the rehearsal room RAUM 33 https://www.gervasi.at/rentals
- Possibility of work with composer Alessadro Vicard
- Dramaturgical support by dramaturg Karl Baratta
- Choreographic supervision by Elio Gervasi and Alberto Franceschini
- Use of the light system of RAUM33 for the presentations
WHEN:
Residency period of 2 weeks in the time frame 02/02/23 – 09/03/23
Presentations on the 24-25/02/23 or on the 10-11/03/23
HOW TO APPLY:

The application should contain a SINGLE PDF with:
- Max 1 page of CV or Biography for each artist involved
- Max 2 pages of text in which you present your idea for the residency and the way in which you want to use the resources offered by the company (music composition, artistic and dramaturgical support
- Max 3 video links of your work in relation to the idea you want to develop during the residency
- The periods in which you can be available for the residency and the presentations
