Arnis Residency is an annual residency programme for contemporary artists taking place in the North German town of Arnis from 13 – 27 September 2021. Residents are encouraged to engage with the region’s local and rural context in order to encounter a world characterised by connections and flows beyond the urban sphere.
Artists of all disciplines are invited to propose a community-based project by 25 July 2021.
Aiming to expand the notion of residencies in rural places as opportunities beyond mere retreats, we encourage practical applications that engage with the region’s economic, historic, socio-political or geographical conditions. Selected residents will participate in a final public exhibition located throughout various sites across Arnis.
