We will elaborate on what forms of engagements are common or necessary in the field of independent performing arts. The focus will lie on: contract of employment, free service contract and contract for services. What are the conditions and consequences of employment vs. self-employment? Which form of engagement is the right one for which occupation? And what are the underlying contracts? And more generally asked: what is a contract?
