We are delighted to promote the open call for the selection of artistic proposals for T*Danse Festival 2021 – Danse et Technologie – Festival Internazionale della Nuova Danza di Aosta.

The artistic direction is curated by Marco Chenevier and Francesca Fini.
Given that we consider categories in the performing arts (dance, theatre, circus, music, performance
art…) to be outdated and anti-historical, we want to bring to the Aosta Valley a view on the
contemporary scene, with a specifc focus on the body as an expressive tool. The focus of the project
is on the relationship between dance and technology, for the role that new technologies have in
everyday life and in the artistic creation. But we consider the concept of technology in the broadest sense: technologies of the scene, of course, but also communication technologies, technologies of the individual, technology and political activism: technology in the true sense of a “discourse on art”. Dance is also considered on a wide angle, as body, physicality, movement.
The call is open to works created for the theatre space, site-specifc work and performances.
What do we offer?
-Performance fee;
-Attendance fee for each participant;
-Travel expenses;
-Accommodation;
-Tech rider (details to be discussed and agreed with the technical director);
-Tech staff and front of house staff (every company must bring their own light/sound engineer);
-Masterclass fee in case the masterclass proposal is selected (100 €).
Admission requirements and conditions:
Professional solo artists and companies operating in the feld of contemporary performing arts and
performance art can apply. Amateur groups and schools are excluded.
The application form must be submitted by a legally recognized and duly constituted subject, in possession of international VAT number.
In case of selection, the companies and artists selected through this call agree to:
-stay for the entire festival week in which their show will be programmed;
-be hosted in a private home (if the public health situation will allow it);
-take part in the feedback aperòs during the festival period;
-be available to conduct, within the festival period, a 1:30 hour masterclass.

Deadline for the submission of the applications is 15th January 2021. Incomplete applications or applications sent by ordinary mail will not be considered. It is possible to apply with more than one work: in this case, please send one application for each show.
Participation to the call is free for participants.
