A membership at IGFT – Austrian Association of Independent Theatre serves to strengthen the independent performing arts scene. Our members (holders of our membership card) are entitled to receive our services for free or at a reduced price. Four times a year we also publish a magazine – gift – zeitschrift für freies theater /.
At the moment our organization has over 1.600 members from all divisions of performing arts (Dance, Theatre, Theatre for kids, Puppet theatre, Pantomime, Site-specific theatre, Music theatre, Cabaret, Improvisational theatre, etc.)
Both theatre professionals as well as persons interested in independent theater work can become our members.
To register as a member, a completed and signed application form must be sent to the office of the IGFT (Austrian Association of Independent Theatre).
Please note: The membership is always valid from 1st January to 31st December of the respective year.
The membership fee is understood as solidarity contribution and therefore as a support for the independent scene.
The personal data (name, address, telephone number, e-mail) provided for the purpose of the membership application are for information purposes only (events or association matters). The application can be sent either by e-mail or by post
The membership fee is EUR 35,-/calender year and is to be paid cash at the office
of the IGFT or to transfer to our bank account:

Upon receipt of the membership fee, the membership card will be issued for that year. With the membership card various services and following discounts can be used. Discounts
IGFT members can place ads in the Standard newspaper at discounted prices.
Ads promoting theatre productions can be placed in the following categories: The Daily Tip, The Culture / Theater Ad, The Special Tip and The Event Ad.

IGFT members receive a discount on all media costs for advertising events on freecard. More information can be obtained in the IGFT office.
