Call TQW Training for Professional Dance and Performance Artists (January – March 2021)

  • by

Entry deadline: 30 November 2020

TQW is currently following the necessary official Covid-19 regulations (compulsory contact tracing and a strongly reduced number of participants in accordance with space and distancing regulations). To ensure a safe and smooth procedure and in order to comply with our mission as an institution for the local professional dance and performance scene, we have taken the decision to limit participation in the training & workshop programme for professionals (advanced level) by means of an application process.
Your participation requires your commitment to remain in a fixed group for the entire duration of the respective training week (5 classes) or course or workshop. Classes take place in small, fixed groups (max. 5 participants). We cannot offer a drop-in system at the moment. All registrations take place online.

TQW training schedule:

  • Contemporary training (advanced level): Mon–Fri 10.00–11.30 or 10.00–14.00
  • Weekly courses (Jan–Mar): Mon–Fri 17.00–18.30; Sat 10.00–11.30
  • Various workshops at different times
  • Online training offers are available to everyone

We kindly ask professional dance and performance artists who want to take part in the TQW training & workshop programme in the period from January to March 2021 to apply until 30 November.

Three jurors – dancers / choreographers Charlotta Ruth, Eva Schaller, and Liv Schellander (head of TQW Training & Workshops) –will together select the prospective participants who can then register for training sessions, workshops and courses online.

Applications should include a short CV (or alternatively a web link) and a short statement that outlines your interest, need and motivation to take part in the TQW training & workshop programme during these three months. Applications should be no longer than one page (A4).

Please send your application to training@tqw.at
Entry deadline: 30 November 2020

The structure and the programme will be evaluated in relation to the developments and regulations of the Covid-19 pandemic. If, for some reason, it will not be possible for live sessions to take place, our training & workshop programme will be made available online. The studio is always available for warm-up and cool-down half an hour before and after the class. The changing rooms and showers at TQW Studios will remain closed. Cleaning (studio, foyer, toilets) takes place for two hours in between different training sessions. Participants are asked to arrive for classes already in their training gear. If a mat or other equipment is needed, we kindly ask participants to bring their own.
